Continuing with our description of the various entanglements that led to the many fake orders of Malta and Knights of St. John of which more than 20 groups that claim a descendant of a nonexisting Russian tradition’s the 1930s, a Knights of St. Johngroup also ran a strange-sounding political The Ancient and Noble Order of the Blue Lamoo. Initially, the Blue Lamoo appeared to be an “Aryan Heraldic and Chivalric” organization. A 1939 confidential report to the Non-Sectarian Anti-Nazi League revealed a cover for German and Japanese propaganda. In 1934 a writer named Pat McGrady wrote a series of exposes of the American far-right entitled ‘This Fascist Racket,’ published by the Jewish Telegraph Agency. One of these grouplets struck McGrady as especially strange: I have recently come across a manual put out as what might well be called the Protocols of the Learned Elders of Aryandom. Factually the organization is called The Ancient and Noble Order of the Blue Lamoo. The group, I would judge from the type of stuff they advocate, is a super-Aryan cult and may have some small following in this and other countries. Essentially its tenets are those of all the shirt groups that have sprung up here and elsewhere, and they but slightly exaggerate the policies of Nazi organizations.
